About

Sam - Math/Science/SAT Tutor

Hi, I’m Sam. I grew up in Dallas, went to Highland Park High School, and later earned my Biology degree and Economics minor from the University of Texas at Austin. I started tutoring during college when friends and classmates would desperately ask for help before upcoming exams. I realized pretty quickly that I enjoyed helping people learn concepts and getting the grade they want. I continued to tutor on the side through the rest of college.

Since graduating, I shifted into tutoring full-time and have now worked with hundreds of students across the Dallas area and online. I tutor middle and high school math, biology, chemistry, and SAT/ACT prep.

Today’s students face more distractions than ever: constant notifications, social media, and AI tools that provide answers without teaching the steps. It’s no surprise many students feel unprepared when tests come around.

My strength is coaching students in a way that keeps them engaged, motivated, and consistent despite the distractions. For many students, the biggest challenge isn’t the material itself, it’s confidence, focus, and staying on track. I help build those habits through a teaching style that makes learning feel manageable. That’s a big part of why my students stick with me and make steady progress.

Whether your student is trying to catch up, get ahead, or prepare for an important test, my goal is to make the process simple, personalized, and effective.
